The sophisticated technology in this Golf Laser Range finder instantaneously calculates ranges by measuring the time it takes for each pulse to travel from the Range Finder to the target and back. It allows range reading from 15-600 meters. Delivering accurate range performance to +/- one meter.
The maximum range of the instrument depends on the reflectivity of the target. The maximum distance for highly reflective objects is 600 meters (Golf Pin is the ideal target). The color, surface finish, size and shape of the target will affect the reflectivity and the range. The brighter the color, the longer the range. Red is highly reflective, for example, and allows longer ranges than the black color, which is the least reflective color.
